Reporting on our support for the Kindred Souls animal shelter @sporidnenidushi.animal_shelter 🐾
 

Kindred Souls is a home-based animal shelter in the Zhytomyr region, currently caring for around 90 dogs and 50 cats. The animals live in the yard and part of the house; the shelter has become one big shared home for them. The number of new arrivals keeps growing, while finding families for them is increasingly difficult.

We were greeted loudly and enthusiastically: almost all the shelter’s residents are drawn to people and absolutely love attention. So we tried to meet and give a scratch to everyone we could get to.

Thanks to a joint fundraiser by the Solidarity Collectives humanitarian group, @380connection foundation, and illustrator Marysia @marisya_prus, we purchased and delivered to the shelter:

• 400 kg of dog food
• 50 kg of cat food
• flea and tick treatments
• deworming medication

Thank you to the people who care for so many animals every day. And thank you to everyone who supported our fundraiser. The shelter is still struggling, but thanks to you, it has received at least a little care and support.
