Yesterday it became known that a court in “LPR” sentenced Maksym Butkevych to 13 years in prison. Maksym is a prominent activist, human rights advocate, anti-fascist, co-founder of the No Borders project and our good friend. From the first days of the war, he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and we supported his unit. On 24 June 2022, it became known that he was captured as a prisoner of war.

The charges brought against Maksym Butkevych are baseless. When the “crime” was “committed”, he was not at the front yet, as reported by Graty. So we call on you and everyone to do everything possible to release Maksym from Russian captivity.
