The 8th of March: Solidarity in Struggle

March 8, 2026

The 8th of March is a date when it is important for us to recognise the contribution Ukrainian women are making to the fight for freedom today as military personnel, activists, trade unionists, volunteers, medics etc.

In the army, our comrades are destroying the enemy with drones, shooting down Shaheds and rescuing the wounded. They have made a conscious choice to fight against the aggressor.

At the same time, civilians are organising the logistics of purchasing the necessary equipment, assembling and soldering drones, preparing shipments to the front lines, and conducting humanitarian missions to aid people affected by the war.

It is important to remember that 8 March originated as a day for women to fight for their freedoms and rights. On this occasion, we would also like to remind you of interviews with our female fighters and their personal stories about their path in resistance, their experiences of war, and their motivation to continue the struggle:

Our struggle is part of a broader international feminist movement — one that is united and directed against colonial and patriarchal violence. That is why it is so important to support our comrades on the front lines and in the rear.
