These are people from different backgrounds, movements, and roles. They serve in various units and are spread across thousands of kilometres of the frontline — yet they are united by shared values and mutual solidarity.
We want to introduce you to these people.

Second on the list is a fighter with the call sign Ilya (“Izya”), 28 years old.

He serves in the 39th Brigade of the 30th Marine Corps as a combat medic, working in CASEVAC.
From the first days of the full-scale invasion, Izya volunteered to defend his country and joined the 126th Brigade.

During his service, he took part in defensive operations in the Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and Donetsk regions.

Since September 2024, he has been back in the Kherson region.
Here is what Izya says about his work today:

“Today, the war is largely a war of technology, especially FPV drones. Due to the constant threat from the air, evacuating the wounded often takes many hours, and sometimes an entire day.
In such conditions, every evacuation run carries a high level of risk: time is measured in minutes, and the cost of any mistake is a human life.
Despite this, we do everything possible to evacuate the wounded and bring our people back, even when it is extremely dangerous and exhausting.”
For combat medics, FPV drone detectors are not just protection — they are a tool that allows faster reaction, route planning, and reducing risks during the evacuation of the wounded.
