Anarchists at War: Story of Anarcha-Feminist Kafa

September 3, 2025

“I felt like this dissociation was going on because I was so stressed and unhappy, and no one cared about that. The world was just full of bright colours, parties, and ketamine — but for me, it wasn’t like that at all. For me, it was more about my friends being taken prisoner by russia, executions in Bucha, people being bombed every day.”

We continue our series of interviews with anti-authoritarian fighters serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This time, we speak with Kafa — a non-binary anarchist, native of Crimea, who chose the path of struggle and resistance against russian occupation.
We talked about motivation and fears, about Crimea and making choices, about anarchism in Ukraine and the power of mutual aid.

🎥 The interview was filmed in collaboration with Freefilmers.
