March 8 is not just a day. It’s about struggle, dignity, and those who refuse to stay silent. On this day, we launch a series of interviews with women on the frontlines—feminists, journalists, anarchists, artists, and activists.

The first heroine is “Lastivka” (Swallow), who has walked the path from squatting, organizing a samba band, and eco-activism—to becoming a platoon commander of drone systems. For the third year, she has been at the front, where freedom clashes with imperial oppression.
