Humanitarian Trip ’25

At the end of May, we made a humanitarian trip to Vysokopillia and Dobropillia, and also brought small household appliances and hygiene kits for IDPs in Sumy.
Due to the tense situation on the frontline and intense shelling on the frontline territories number of displaced people is growing rapidly. We are trying our best to help civilians maintain a decent level of life. It’s hard to see that people are leaving everything behind to save their lives and how complicated it is for them to find a new home, a new job, and make a life in a new place. Moreover, when it’s senior people, families with kids and pets.
IDPs in Sumy are moving into dorms, which are not suited for such many inhabitants. It lacks basic appliances. We helped one of the Sumy dorms with microwaves, kettles and electric stoves. They are in constant need of personal care products and household chemicals, the request which we also have covered.
A lot of families with children and pets are moving to Vysokopillia and Dobropilla. We were going there with an emphasis on kid rationing and diapers. There’s always a need for clothing, dishes and utensils, hygiene products and bedding. Thanks to activists from Social Rukh and good-hearted people, we managed to gather a certain amount of necessities and bring them to those in need.
We bought microwaves and kettles for Dobropillia, as people have been relocated there from the hottest area, Pokrovsk. The least people have lost is their belongings. Unfortunately, many of them have lost loved ones.

We’re incredibly thankful to UAnimals for their help with pet food. Our activist is also a volunteer for this animal protection organisation, and we managed to distribute 424 kg of food to residents of Vysokopillia and Dobropillia, to animal volunteers Yanina and Valentyna in Izium, and to the village of Kamianka, which was completely destroyed but still has people and animals living there. The food was also delivered to the fighters, who are taking care of cats and dogs rescued from the frontline.
