A large-scale fundraiser is ongoing to support anti-authoritarian fighters who are currently defending Ukraine on the frontline.

These are people from different backgrounds, movements, and roles. They serve in various units and are spread across thousands of kilometres of the frontline — yet they are united by shared values and mutual solidarity.
We want to introduce you to these people.

First on the list is a fighter with the call sign Mit, a member of the “Flamingo” UAV interception platoon, based within the 640th Separate Anti-Aircraft Machine Gun Battalion, operating in the Kherson direction.

Here is what Mit says about his unit:
“We have three FPV crews. We are trained and have a strong, highly motivated team. We expect to receive orders for combat operations on the Kherson–Ochakiv axis very soon.

We have explosives, drones, and vehicles. But to work effectively, we need to see the enemy’s intentions — specifically, the video feed from their strike drones.

In this area, there is a constant presence of ‘Molniya’ drones and standard FPVs hunting vehicles on highways and carrying out real ‘safari-style’ attacks, including against civilians.

We are asking for support in acquiring FPV drone detectors. This will make us safer and help us carry out our combat tasks directly.”

Before the full-scale invasion, Mit took part in grassroots organising.

Today, he is part of a resistance based on values, solidarity, and mutual support.
