About this campaign
We recently received a request for a night vision device from our comrade Lev, who is currently serving as a medic.
In her own words, you can learn about her combat path and why this equipment is crucial and needed for advantage and survival.
“My nickname is Lev. I work with the International Legion in Ukraine. I am a platoon medic.
I am an anarchist and have been an internationalist fighter for about ten years. I worked in north-east Syria with the women’s liberation movement against the Islamic states’ violent oppression towards the local people and the revolution there.
Fighting door to door, across fields or cities, with the brave men and women of YPJ and YPG, we helped liberate many areas so that people could live autonomously and according to the values of the women’s revolutionary movement.
This experience brought me to Ukraine to continue fighting for people’s liberation values. Beginning with my work in the territorial defence forces with local people. We are fighting against the Russian state army’s imperialist and fascist values. Ukrainians fight to protect their homes against an unjust invasion and the murder of their people.
I have been here from battlefields, basements or hospitals. Being shelled and bombed in Kharkiv or Bakhmut, and many other regions.
We require night vision to allow us to drive in hard conditions and evacuate wounded soldiers and civilians from shelled and bombed-out areas. Or in the tree lines and difficult areas to move without drawing attention to us and our casualties’ location.
Solidarity Collectives and good people have already helped us evacuate and treat many injured people from the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine.
All people deserve the right to live long enough to decide for themselves who they wish to be and how they wish to live and lead their lives. And no one gets to take that from another person, let alone an entire people.”
Support us in equipping Lev’ s medic team with night-time operational capability — this will certainly save lives.
